CJ Hicks Elementary is committed to providing a safe and secure environment. In addition, a proper learning atmosphere is essential for the education of each student.
Dress for Success Standard Attire is an effective strategy to promote enhanced student appearance and behavior, which are key ingredients of a positive learning environment in which student safety and achievement are the highest priorities.
CJ Hicks Elementary has adopted standard dress attire. Students are expected to wear Standard Attire during the school year.
Acceptable Attire at CJ Hicks Elementary School
TOPS: Shirts with short or long sleeves and a collar (polo, dress-style with button) should be button up or collar style shirts. In suggested solid colors: blue, yellow, green.
*All shirts should be properly buttoned and sized.
BOTTOMS: Pants, shorts, Capri pants, skirts, skorts or
jumpers. In suggested solid colors: khaki, navy, or black.
SHOES: For P.E. and playground safety we ask that students
always wear rubber soled tennis shoes.
FRIDAY FREE DAY: We encourage children to wear blue jeans and a CJ Hicks T-shirt on their free day.
Standard Attire is sold at several local stores as well as many places online.
